Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, USA, seeks an Executive Director, Organization & Talent Partner (OTP) to lead senior HR advisory across R&D. You will shape long-term organization and talent strategies, build leadership pipelines, and oversee a team of OTPs.

You will partner with COEs and ETHR to connect business goals with workforce capability, driving transformation and governance across divisions and regions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive HR or closely related business experience in a complex, global environment.
• Experience advising and coaching senior executives and leadership teams.
• Extensive experience in strategic workforce planning, organization capability planning, organization design and development, talent and succession.

Responsibilities

• Shape the agenda by translating business strategy into long-term organization and talent initiatives.
• Lead organization capability planning to align structures and roles with future needs.
• Drive strategic workforce planning linked to business direction and transformation.
• Provide enterprise perspective across leadership planning and cross-functional interfaces.
• Develop leaders via succession planning and leadership development for critical populations.
• Coach senior leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and leadership impact.
• Support organizational transformation from an OTP perspective.
• Act as steward of organizational effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration.
• Leverage HR operating model to execute strategy.
• Partner with TELs, COEs, ETHR, and HR Solutions & Operations to deliver priorities.
• Clarify priorities across divisions and countries, considering local nuances.
