Carroll County Public Library (MD) is seeking an Executive Director who will serve as the Chief Executive Officer, providing visionary leadership to advance the Library's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.
The role reports to the seven-member Board of Library Trustees and requires relocation to Carroll County, with a focus on innovation, lifelong learning, and exceptional customer service. Salary range is $145,000–$170,000 per year.
Under the direction of the Board of Library Trustees, the Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Carroll County Public Library (CCPL), providing visionary leadership to advance the Library's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.
The Executive Director leads a nationally recognized public library system committed to innovation, lifelong learning, exceptional customer service, and responsible stewardship of public resources. Reporting directly to the seven-member Board of Library Trustees, the Executive Director establishes organizational priorities, develops and implements strategic initiatives, and ensures the effective management of library operations, finances, facilities, technology, and personnel.
