Job summary

Carroll County Public Library (MD) is seeking an Executive Director who will serve as the Chief Executive Officer, providing visionary leadership to advance the Library's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.

The role reports to the seven-member Board of Library Trustees and requires relocation to Carroll County, with a focus on innovation, lifelong learning, and exceptional customer service. Salary range is $145,000–$170,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a library school accredited by the American Library Association.
• 5 years of experience as a professional librarian with at least 2 years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead Carroll County Public Library (CCPL) as the Chief Executive Officer with visionary leadership to advance mission and sustainability.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
• Oversee operations, finances, facilities, technology, and personnel to ensure effective service delivery.
