CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of AI Engineering to serve as the senior AI technical authority for the TPA and Payer Solutions Technology organization. You will own the AI engineering approach, AI SDLC, and operating model, guiding a team of AI engineers through a multi-year transformation across benefits platforms.

You will partner with legal and security, define reference architectures, and advise on models and vendors, delivering measurable business value while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, data, or AI/ML with leadership.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping production AI solutions.
• Experience with generative AI, agentic systems, and AI SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Define AI engineering strategy aligned to CVS Health and enterprise AI direction.
• Lead AI solutions across generative AI, NLP, ML, and CV with production focus.
• Establish AI SDLC, governance, and operating model across teams.
• Coach engineering leaders and build a high-caliber AI team.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security requirements.
