Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in the United States seeks a senior software engineering leader to drive technical strategy across a multi-team organization of 50–150 engineers, setting architectural standards and elevating engineering excellence.

You will own delivery at velocity, partner with Product owners and health care leaders to translate strategy into decisive engineering bets, and embed AI platforms with responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading large-scale engineering organizations.
• Deep, hands-on foundation in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern backend engineering at scale.
• Proven AI platform ownership with production deployments, model deployment pipelines, vector databases, RAG architectures, and responsible AI principles.
• Track record of migrating monoliths to microservices and modernizing legacy platforms under real business pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy across a multi-team engineering organization (50-150+ engineers).
• Embed LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, and ML-powered automation into the engineering lifecycle as production-grade differentiators.
• Own delivery at velocity and be accountable for outcomes.
• Partner with Product owners, Data Engineers, and Health care business leaders to translate strategy into precise engineering bets.
• Be the technical voice in the room, addressing architectural debt and feasible timelines.
