Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care site in Iowa City.

You will oversee food service operations, ensure compliance with menus, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality meals and service to residents and staff. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher in food service management, experience supervising staff, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising food service personnel preferred.
• Residence within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Follow infection control and basic safety procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Ensure consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff and residents.
