Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility.

You will supervise the food service team, ensure adherence to menus, quality standards and safety protocols while maintaining records and coordinating with clients and administrators. The role requires leadership experience in food service, compliance with vaccination policies, and the ability to handle physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state law).
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and LTC-FSM within first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Ability to lift/push 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safe use of protective gear and cleaning solutions; report equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Maintain infection control and sanitary practices; ensure timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and guests.
• Execute all other duties as assigned.
