Job summary

The Dean of Learning Commons at Tarrant County College District (South Campus) leads the Learning Commons, encompassing library services, tutoring, makerspace, and learning support. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects, deliver high-level customer service, and build collaborative relationships across the college.

Responsibilities include supervising area managers, developing budgets, reporting, and presenting to the college community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) years of leadership/administrative experience in a setting with integrated learning services.
• Three (3) years of experience supervising direct reports, including assigning work, managing performance, coaching employees, and supporting employee development.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Learning Commons and supervises area managers.
• Interacts with students to promote growth mindset and supports faculty and staff.
• Generates reports and manages annual budget for the Learning Commons.
• Prepares and delivers presentations to communicate the Learning Commons role and capabilities.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of student records and sensitive information.
