Job summary

Tarrant County College’s Southeast Campus seeks a Director of Library to lead and manage library services, operations, technologies, and Learning Commons initiatives, guiding strategic planning, budgeting, and community engagement to support student success. The role requires a Master’s in library science, at least five years of related experience, and three years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program.
Five years of related experience in library services and administration.
Three years of experience supervising direct reports, including coaching and performance management.

Responsibilities

Develops goals and mission of the library and works with staff to meet the library’s objectives.
Directs operations of the campus library supporting TCC’s Learning Commons approach.
Contributes to planning and continuous improvement of services, technologies, and collections.
Manages departmental budgets and controls expenditures within approved budgets.
Revises guidelines to ensure efficient operation of the library.
Maintains library environments and plans for facilities needs.
Communicates with College constituents and community on library issues.
Engages with faculty, staff, students, and external organizations to promote learning services.
