Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school with strong standing.
- 2–6 years of proven experience in executive compensation and employee benefits.
- Admission to practice in the employing state or eligibility for prompt admission.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Work on executive compensation and employee benefits portions of transactions including M&A, IPOs and asset sales.
- Provide legal advice and counsel on executive compensation matters.
- Assist design, implementation and administration of compensation plans.
- Draft and review employment and compensation documents.
- Conduct legal research on laws, regulations and trends.
- Advise clients on compliance with ERISA, tax and securities laws.
- Assist in negotiation and drafting of employment contracts and severance agreements.
- Collaborate with tax and corporate teams for comprehensive client representation.
- Stay updated on emerging developments in executive compensation and employee benefits.
