Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations at our Chester, SC site. You will direct meal preparation in line with corporate programs and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across all kitchen activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, menu development, staff training, and strict adherence to sanitation standards. Strong catering and high-volume experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.S./A.O.S. in Culinary Arts or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience considered a plus.
• High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience preferred.
• Hands-on chef experience required and knowledge of cost controls.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software used in kitchens.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure safe, sanitary work environment.
• Prepare or direct meals aligned with corporate programs and guidelines.
• Plan regular and modified menus within established guidelines.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and equipment use.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manage inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure availability.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
• Participate in departmental meetings and staff development.
