Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef for the Chester, SC area. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and direct meal preparation in alignment with corporate programs. This is an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary leadership role.

You will plan menus, train staff, manage inventory, and ensure quality and compliance across health and safety standards in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

B.S. in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
A.O.S. in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with experience is acceptable.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
Follows recipes, portions, and presentation standards; uses daily production worksheets and waste logs.
Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety and sanitation to standards.
Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
Manages inventory to ensure product availability within guidelines.
Makes decisions on leftover food utilization per company policy.
Complies with health and safety regulations and audits.
Participates in departmental meetings and staff development.
