Ideal candidates bring a culinary leadership background, strong cost and waste controls, and hands-on cooking expertise, with ServSafe desirable. This is a dynamic role within a nationwide healthcare foodservice team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Culinary Arts or related field; or A.O.S. degree/certificate.
• 3–5 years progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Hands-on chef experience is required.
• Knowledge of food trends, cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficient with computers (MS Office, Outlook, email).
• ServSafe certification desirable; support patient satisfaction programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and safety, ensuring sanitary practices.
• Plan menus per guidelines and manage production worksheets.
• Train staff in food prep, safety, equipment operation, and sanitation.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and inventory within guidelines.
• Control food costs and supervise waste; ensure supply availability.
• Adhere to health regulations and company safety policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development.
