Job summary

Summit County Government seeks an Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to the County Manager, BOCC, and the County Attorney’s Office. You will manage complex administrative work, handle official public records, coordinate high-profile public meetings, and serve as a key point of contact for county departments, partner agencies, and the public.

This role requires strong organization, confidentiality, and the ability to multi-task in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Executive Administration, or related field; or 3+ years of office administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BOCC and other public meetings, including agendas, packets, notices, and minutes.
  • Maintain meeting materials, resolutions, ordinances, and Deputy Clerk files per retention rules.
  • Support the Executive Administrative Manager with legal preparation and related duties.
  • Provide administrative support to the County Manager, Deputy County Managers, County Attorneys, and Commissioners (scheduling, travel, events).
  • Process contracts, invoices, receipts, data entry, approvals, and workflow routing in the ERP system.
  • Oversee travel arrangements for conferences and trainings; assist with website updates and technology initiatives.
