Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a construction laborer to support paving crews on various site projects. The role involves shoveling, raking, loading materials, signaling equipment operators, and assisting with sign and barrier placement.

PPE must be worn as required by safety guidelines and job site rules. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work outdoors in all weather, with willingness to travel and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Previous related experience in construction field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Follow OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures.
• Assist construction / paving crew with various duties such as shoveling, raking, and running a wheelbarrow.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Dig, spread and level construction materials.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
