Job summary

CRH APAC Mississippi, Inc. is hiring for a construction labor position. You will help with paving, grading, and site tasks while adhering to safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.

The role requires weather readiness and willingness to travel to job sites, including nights and weekends when needed. Benefits include vacation and retirement plans. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and may have prior construction experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous related experience in construction field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Follow OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Assist construction / paving crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and running a wheelbarrow.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Follow directions of the manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each project or job site.
• May be called upon to run small power tools such as a jackhammer.
• Dig, spread and level construction materials.
• Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
• Assist in placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
