Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is hiring an Excavator / Dozier Operator (Construction) to support various site tasks on construction and paving projects. You will work in a safety-forward environment and perform duties from operating equipment to assisting crew with manual tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED) and willingness to travel, with potential for night and weekend shifts. Comprehensive benefits and competitive pay accompany this position with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Previous related construction experience preferred.
Willing to travel and work nights/weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Report any problems to your manager.
Assist construction / paving crew with duties such as shoveling, raking and running wheelbarrow.
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each project.
May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer.
Dig, spread and level construction materials.
Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
Assist in placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
