Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking an equipment operator to join a team working on road, site, or highway construction projects. You will operate heavy equipment safely, follow Foreman directions, and Maintain a safe work environment while performing daily inspections and minor servicing.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and prior construction experience, plus the ability to pass drug and background screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous related experience in construction or training.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Provide I-9 documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on road, site or highway construction projects.
• Work in a team environment with co-workers and managers.
• Report problems to your supervisor and maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow Foreman's directions and daily task expectations.
• Perform minor equipment servicing and daily inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees and perform general labor duties.
• Wear PPE as designated and adhere to OSHA/MSHA safety requirements.
