Job summary

Encore seeks a Technical Specialist to manage the technical setup and operation of mid-level production events in a hospitality environment, ensuring top-tier client satisfaction. You will report to the Associate Director or Director of Project Management in your area.

The role requires 3+ years in event technology (AV/lighting/video) and strong customer service experience. You will oversee equipment, safety, and mentorship while coordinating with hotel teams to deliver seamless events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of event technology experience with AV/lighting/video.
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements per Encore’s program.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down advanced audiovisual equipment as required for each event.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and maintain equipment security and safety.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor and coach technical, sales and operations staff to develop skills.
• Supervise technicians during events and ensure smooth execution of the program.
• Perform inventory management, maintenance, and forecasting of equipment needs.
