Job summary

Nashville Zoo is seeking an Event Setup Technician to support daily setup and breakdown of events, maintain venue spaces, and manage event inventory.

You will follow instructions from the Event Operations Coordinator, work outdoors year-round, lift up to 50 pounds, and ensure safety and client satisfaction.

Requires high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of general event or manual labor experience; ability to climb ladders and work as part of a team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of general event or manual labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate daily commitment to Nashville Zoo’s mission and values.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Complete assigned weekly event tasks including setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, props, etc.
• Execute tasks safely and timely to meet client and event needs.
• Perform daily venue and storage area checks with routine cleaning and safety reporting.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment inventory and proper storage.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet venue needs (grounds, horticulture, catering support).
• Safely operate Nashville Zoo vehicles as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by operational needs.
