Job summary

United Parks & Resorts is seeking a Part-Time Event Services Specialist at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. You will support sales and group bookings, coordinate on-site catering, and liaise with clients and park departments to ensure memorable events.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with MS Office and the flexibility to work weekdays, some weekends and evenings is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two years of education/related work experience preferred.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with clients at all levels.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to self-start and work independently or in a team.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Travel industry sales, marketing and hospitality experience preferred.
• Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Able to work weekdays; some weekends and late evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties to support Sales Manager’s.

• Process Group bookings including ticket ordering.
• Email group confirmations and communications to customers.
• Help coordinate on site catering and special events.
• Interface with clients and various park departments.
• Participate in weekly catering and marketing meetings.
• Create pre-event tasks like BEOs and banquet checks; post-event recaps and final billing.
• Maintain weekly group arrival list and payment methods.
• Participate in industry events and park familiarization tours.

What you get to do as a Part-Time Event Services Specialist

• Perform administrative duties to support Sales Manager’s.

• Perform various pre-event tasks including creating BEO, banquet check, ticket orders, FedEx, and post-event tasks including event recaps and final billing
• Maintain weekly group arrival list and payment methods.
• Participate in industry events, park familiarization tours, and key Special Events projects.
• Enthusiastically represent the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
• Other duties as assigned.

What does it takes to succeed:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• At least two years of education/related work experience required.
• Must have excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and create relationships at all levels with clients and prospect organizations.
• Detailed oriented and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced working environment
• Must have the ability to self-start and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Travel industry sales, marketing, and hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in Sales Force a plus.
• Able to work any weekday between Monday - Friday to include some weekend and some late evenings as needed.

Compensation: 15.00 USD Hourly
