Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking a seasonal Guest Services Associate in Tampa to welcome guests with a high-energy, friendly attitude during Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town events. You will escort guests, provide VIP experiences, handle setup and check-in, serve beverages, sell merchandise, and assist with crowd control and cleanup.

Must be 18+, have a HS diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, ability to stand for long periods, and the stamina

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Represent the park with a positive attitude and high energy.
• Escort guests on tours during seasonal events; provide VIP experiences with frontline access and priority seating.
• Assist with event setup, check-in, serving alcoholic drinks, selling products, seat saving, and cleanup.
• Fulfill duties as assigned and maintain park and department policies.

Compensation: $14.50

Events include Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town

What you get to do:

• Enthusiastically represents the park by displaying a positive attitude, high energy level, and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
• Escort guests on tours of the park during seasonal events such as Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town; providing a VIP experience which includes frontline access to attractions, priority seating to select shows, and private beverage stations.
• Support staff: assist with set-up, check-in, serving alcoholic drinks, selling products, seat saving at shows, and clean up.
• Fulfill primary responsibilities of all preceding job descriptions and perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years old
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Valid state driver’s license
• Demonstrate high-quality guest service skills.
• Able to engage and interact with children and adults.
• Able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes every day of the week, with start times as early as 4:00 PM ending as late as 2:00 AM throughout the events.
• Must be able to work nights of the event.
• Able to maintain composure and objectivity in all situations when interacting with guests.
• Able to follow all park and departmental policies and procedures.
• Able to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds on occasion.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to work indoors/outdoors with or without A/C for entire shift.
• Willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Hours worked will vary based on event/business needs.
