Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking an Event Sales Manager to lead the sale and service of events, with a focus on Banquet Food & Beverage. The role includes menu planning, agenda setting, and coordinating hotel staff to ensure exceptional service for each event.

The position involves hosting tours, maintaining strong client relationships, and may lead event meetings. Collaboration with the sales and events teams is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in general computer knowledge.
Extremely detail oriented and organized.
Two years hotel experience or completion of Event Management trainee program.

Responsibilities

Sell and service events, with primary sales focus in Banquet Food & Beverage.
Involve menu planning, agenda setting, and hotel meeting services, including contract review and coordination with hotel staff.
Facilitate communication before, during, and after events to ensure high-quality service.
Host hotel tours and maintain strong customer relationships.
Lead event meetings and participate in staff meetings; collaborate with sales and events teams.

Description

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food and Beverage and includes menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.

The Event Sales Manager also host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and events staff. The manager also works closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
