Job summary

Encore Global in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Operations Manager to lead on-site floor operations at a hotel/convention center. You will supervise technicians, manage daily workflow, and ensure equipment and services meet client specifications while maintaining inventory controls and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include scheduling, mentoring staff, reviewing quotes for cost savings, and facilitating on-site upselling to maximize revenue.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of audio visual and customer service/hospitality experience including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with the use of computer hardware.
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Manage daily floor activities and technician workflow to meet client specs and hotel schedules.
• Provide direct supervision, scheduling and timekeeping for staff.
• Review quotes for cost efficiencies and advise on potential challenges to leadership.
• Maintain daily equipment sheets and inventory control with safety and quality:** Ensure on-site uptime and service delivery.
• Attend BEO, Pre-Cons, and pre-production meetings as needed.
• Mentor operational staff to maximize client satisfaction and revenue via upselling.
• Build strong relationships with clients, Encore properties, and vendors.
