Job summary

Encore Global in Maryland is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead floor activities for AV teams in hotel/conference settings. You will supervise technicians, manage scheduling, and ensure on-time delivery of equipment and services per client specifications.

You will drive customer satisfaction, mentor staff, oversee training, and control inventory while maintaining safety and quality standards across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of audio visual and customer service/hospitality experience including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with the use of computer hardware.
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily floor activities and workflow of technicians to ensure timely, quality delivery as specified by clients and the hotel.
• Provides direct supervision of team members including scheduling and time keeping.
• Ensures billing is reviewed and approved by clients and advises leaders of potential challenges.
• Manages inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels and quality assurance.
• Attends BEO, Pre-Cons, and pre-production meetings as needed.
• Deblates tasks as appropriate.
• Reviews quotes and provides cost-efficient recommendations following SOPs.
• Supervises operational staff to ensure client satisfaction and revenue maximization via onsite upselling.
• Meets with guests onsite to ensure needs are met and equipment setup works properly.
• Promotes a positive working environment aligned with Encore values and guides staff development.
