Job summary

Oak View Group is hiring a Line Cook for venue operations. The role involves preparing high-quality foods for guests, handling hot and cold dishes, and working in a fast-paced, event-driven setting. You will coordinate with the Executive and Sous Chefs on menu planning and portion control.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife.
• Ability to communicate with staff and guests in a clear, professional manner.
• Team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven work environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.
• ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food in a timely manner for guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as a team to assist with preparation, service, and delivery.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate reliability by meeting attendance standards.
