Job summary

Oak View Group in Topeka is seeking a Line Cook to prepare foods for guests at Stormont Vail Events Center. You will work in a fast-paced, event-driven venue, handling hot and cold items and ensuring timely delivery.

This part-time role offers hourly pay between $12.00 and $14.00 and is tip eligible, with benefits including a 401(k) Savings Plan and matching. Availability for events is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience preferred.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment listed above.
• Communicate clearly with staff and guests in a fast-paced setting.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portions.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent service and delivery.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Monitor food cooking and portioning for accurate presentation.
• Collaborate with chef staff to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
