Job summary

BEST Crowd Management at UW–Madison provides welcoming guest services at games, concerts, and campus events. You greet and guide guests, scan tickets, monitor entry points, and support crowd flow while following safety procedures.

You communicate clearly with visitors and team members, respond calmly to questions or minor issues, and report concerns to supervisors. Training in guest services and event safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest services or customer-facing roles is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a team during events.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide guests to entrances and seats.
• Scan tickets and assist with entry points.
• Monitor crowd flow and report safety concerns to supervisors.
• Respond clearly to questions and minor issues from visitors and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe event environment.
