Job summary

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking an AV Technician to handle setup and operation of basic AV systems for events, ensuring top‑quality customer service and smooth event execution.

Essential position with emergency duties; must be flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some heavy lifting and operable equipment experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency preferred.
• Minimum of six months of experience performing physical tasks and maintenance duties in a similar facility.
• Familiarity with small power tools, AV devices, and setup/teardown equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate basic AV equipment for events.
• Provide high level of customer service and support to clients and event staff.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues during events.
• Perform event set-up inspections and break-down tasks.
• Operate motorized equipment as required (e.g., floor scrubber, golf cart).
