Community Partners in Action (CPA) seeks a Youth Mentor for the REGIONS Staff Secure Residential Treatment Program for male youth in Hartford, CT. The role requires guiding youth, ensuring safety, and supporting therapeutic activities in a residential setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience with at-risk or court-involved youth, with bilingual ability preferred. Training, overtime, and commitment to BEDI culture are part of the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience with at-risk or court-involved adolescents preferred.
• Experience in residential treatment settings is desirable.
• Bi-lingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care and assist youth with daily activities including school and groups.
• Maintain a safe, strengths-based, gender-responsive, trauma-informed environment.
• Mediate and resolve youth problems; use de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Support discharge planning and contribute to REGIONS treatment team.
• Participate in trainings and ensure professional boundaries with youth and families.
