Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking a Youth Mentor for the REGIONS Site Secure Residential Treatment Program in Hamden, CT. The role is 1st shift, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Thursday through Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Salary is $26.63 per hour.

Responsibilities include supervising youth, maintaining a safe and trauma-informed environment, and transporting youth as needed. Ideal candidates have an associate’s degree or higher, with experience with at-risk or court-involved youth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred with experience with at-risk youth.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred; strong interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care to youth in daily activities.
• Maintain a trauma-informed, culturally respectful environment.
• Transport clients when needed and monitor safety and logs.
• Assist with discharge planning and program activities.
• Participate in required trainings and maintain professional boundaries.
