Covenant House New Jersey is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist for the RLH Swing Shift. The role focuses on strength-based, trauma-informed engagement, case management, and resilience-building for youth facing housing instability.

Responsibilities include assessments, planning, documentation, and coordinating with community providers to meet housing, health, wellness, education and employment goals. Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM; Hourly rate: $21.77.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience with youth homelessness or trafficking preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Mansioni

• Provide unconditional positive regard to young people and build supportive relationships.
• Conduct assessments and document in file and data systems.
• Develop a Success Plan with each young person and update it regularly.
• Maintain a calendar of activities and appointments to support progress.
• Engage in crisis de-escalation and intervention as needed.
• Document intake, orientation, progress notes and case reviews in HMIS and ETO.
• Facilitate youth group activities aligned with resiliency objectives.
• Attend community meetings and supervision sessions as scheduled.
