Job summary

Covenant House New Jersey in Asbury Park is seeking a Youth Engagement Support Staff for a part-time swing-shift role. You will support young people using strength-based, trauma-informed engagement, crisis de-escalation, and collaborative case management to promote wellness, education, and employment goals.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, documenting progress in HMIS/ETO, assisting with daily operations, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for youth ages 18-24.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Experience with youth, homelessness, or trafficking preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must have valid NJ driver’s license or be able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide unconditional positive regard and support to youth.
• Document intake and progress in HMIS and ETO.
• Facilitate youth activities and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Assist with transportation and daily program operations.
• Attend supervision and professional development trainings.
