Job summary

Covenant House New Jersey seeks a Youth Engagement Support Staff (YESS) for Asbury Park. This part-time role focuses on engaging young people, crisis de-escalation, and collaborative case management within a strength-based, trauma-informed framework.

You will document progress in HMIS/ETO, facilitate activities, and support success plan goals while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment in a multi-disciplinary team. Shift: Mon/Tue/Wed 4:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field preferred.
• Experience with youth, trauma-informed care, or case management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide unconditional positive regard to young people and support engagement in program activities.
• Assist in case management and documentation in HMIS/ETO and other databases.
• Support youth goals, wellness, education and employment planning, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Attend supervision and professional development as assigned.
