Job summary

Compass Group is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The role directs associates during a shift, ensuring completion of tasks per policy and safety standards. Evening and weekend availability is required; good communication and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Provide training and create work schedules.
Evaluate the performance of workers, reward high performers and discipline employees who do not meet standards.
Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
Act as contact person for employee complaints or time‑off requests.
Serve as a mentor, develop employees and encourage them to set goals and strive for advancement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
