Job summary

Food Lion is seeking an evening-store operations leader to support the Store Manager in overseeing all store functions. You will guide department teams, ensure merchandise quality, and maintain high standards for security, safety, and food safety while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include hiring and developing associates, coaching performance, and driving results within Food Lion’s policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train, and develop store associates.
• Coach and manage performance, including appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain customer service focus and ensure fast, easy shopping experiences.
• Lead the store in line with Food Lion principles, values and strategy.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and assets and compliance with policies.
