Job summary

OhioHealth is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician-Certified for the 3:00pm–11:30pm shift. You will decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and endoscopes, prepare instrumentation for cases, and maintain records in the instrument tracking system.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Requires basic computer skills.
• Working knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean various reusable surgical instruments.
• Follow sterilization processes for steam and chemical methods and document results.
• Enter, modify and search instrument tracking data; prepare cases and supplies.
• Maintain infection control guidelines during handling and transport of sterile packages.
• Interact with vendors and surgical reps for loaner trays and CEUs.
