Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician-Certified for the 3:00pm-11:30pm shift. You will decontaminate, clean and sterilize instruments, prepare packs, and support surgical teams with infection-control procedures.

You will monitor sterilizers, maintain records, and assist with training peers while providing direct service to operating rooms and external customers. AAMI/AORN standards knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires State of Ohio eligibility as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Specialized knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards and infection control guidelines.
• Demonstrated customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean medical instruments.
• Prepare and package instrumentation for procedures.
• Monitor sterilization equipment and perform quality checks.
• Maintain documentation and instrument tracking records.
