Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician-Certified to support decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and endoscopes. You will prepare instruments, monitor sterilization equipment, and maintain records for case readiness, while delivering excellent customer service to operating rooms and external clinics.

As part of a High Reliability Organization, you will follow safety standards, participate in ongoing education, and help train peers in instrument

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, High School or GED (Required).
• Certification by CBSPD is required.
• Certification by IAHCSMM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, disinfection and cleaning of reusable surgical instruments.
• Prepare and package instrumentation and endoscopes for cases.
• Document and monitor sterilization processes and quality control tests.
• Enter and retrieve data in the instrument tracking system.
• Provide customer service to operating rooms and external customers.
• Follow AAMI and AORN standards and promote best practices.
