Job summary

OhioHealth Cambridge, OH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician-Non-Certified to decontaminate, clean and sterilize surgical instruments, power equipment and endoscopes. You will assist with packaging, case preparation and quality control, while maintaining records for sterile processing.

The role supports operating rooms and external customers, requiring strong customer service, basic computer skills, and knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Requires basic computer skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow AAMI/AORN standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean various reusable surgical instruments.
• Prepare and package instrumentation; maintain records and instrument tracking.
• Assist in training peers; provide direct customer service to operating rooms and external customers.
• Follow infection control guidelines and promote industry standards.
• Interact with external vendors for loaner trays and CEUs.
