Job summary

Hartford Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor to lead the Nursing department on an assigned shift, ensuring delivery of direct and indirect patient care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

This 24-hour Eve Shift leadership role requires supervising multiple units, guiding staff, coordinating with the Clinical Logistics Center to open isolation beds and optimize patient flow, and driving quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required.
• Critical care or emergency department nursing experience may be required in acute care environments.
• Progressive leadership experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift.
• Supervise and monitor nursing care in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives and transform care delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve capacity and patient flow.
• Analyze data and prepare status reports for leaders and staff.
• Coordinate with Clinical Logistics Center to optimize bed availability and isolation bed use.
