Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing on an assigned shift, ensuring alignment with standards and regulations.

This role provides coverage in the absence of unit managers, drives continuous quality and safety improvements, and coordinates with Clinical Logistics Center to manage capacity and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required.
• Critical care or emergency department nursing experience may be required in acute care environments.
• Progressive leadership experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing department on an assigned shift in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
• Provide leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit manager, director, or administration.
• Ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care via the Nursing Process and create a positive professional environment.
• Lead initiatives to transform care delivery and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate to implement and assess clinical quality initiatives with process and outcome measures.
• Analyze data and prepare actionable reports and presentations for leaders and staff.
• Coordinate with Clinical Logistics Center to optimize isolation beds, expedite room turnover and maximize capacity.
