Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience.
• Critical care or ED nursing experience may be required in acute care environments.
• Active RN license from the State of Connecticut required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift per nursing standards and regulations.
• Provide leadership in the absence of unit managers or administration.
• Ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives aligned with the Balanced Scorecard and strategic plan.
• Collaborate with Clinical Logistics Center to optimize bed availability and patient care flow.
