Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing departments on an assigned shift, ensuring high standards of care and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The role provides leadership in the absence of management and drives quality initiatives, workflow optimization and data-driven reporting to leaders and staff. A CT RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience.
• Active RN license issued by the State of Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing departments on assigned shift.
• Provide leadership in the absence of unit manager/administration.
• Ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with Clinical Logistics Center to optimize bed utilization and isolation procedures.
