Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor to lead the Nursing department on an assigned shift, ensuring delivery of direct and indirect patient care in compliance with standards and regulations.

This leadership role supports multiple hospital departments in the absence of the unit manager, drives quality initiatives, and collaborates with Clinical Logistics to optimize bed capacity and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise multiple departments during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the unit manager, director, or administration.
• Ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Lead quality, safety, and program improvement aligned with strategic plans.
• Collaborate with Clinical Logistics Center to manage bed capacity and throughput.
• Analyze data and present actionable reports to leaders and staff.
