Job summary

Hartford Hospital seeks a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing departments on a 24-hour Eve Shift, every other weekend, with rotating holidays. This role advances care delivery using evidence-based strategies and drives performance improvements across units.

The ideal candidate is a Connecticut-licensed RN with BSN, 3+ years in acute care supervisory roles, and BLS/ACLS credentials, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor is an experienced Registered Nurse and supervises nursing departments on an assigned shift.
• Provides leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit managers or administration.
• Ensures delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the Nursing Process and supports a positive professional nursing environment.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and analyzes data for presentations to leaders and staff.
• Collaborates with Clinical Logistics Center to optimize bed management and patient flow.
