Rescue Mission Alliance in Syracuse is seeking a Part-Time Client Care Specialist for the Emergency Shelter on the 2nd shift, Thursdays through Saturdays from 3:30pm to 10:00pm. The role emphasizes building a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients access resources, receive encouragement, and work toward greater stability and independence within a direct-care setting.

Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with an additional $1.00 per hour differential for hours 1:00pm–11:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Experience with homelessness or related challenges preferred.

Responsabilités

• Build positive, professional relationships with clients.
• Provide support, encouragement, and motivation while helping clients maintain independence.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients.
• Help create a safe, supportive shelter environment.
• Monitor the facility to support client safety.
• Document important client information with confidentiality.
