Job summary

Harford County Public Schools invites applications for Custodian I – Shift 2 at Patterson Mill Middle/High School. This 12-month, full-time position involves cleaning, basic maintenance, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Starting salary is $35,602 with a max of $49,706, plus comprehensive benefits. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; alternative minimum education and abilities apply. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ninth grade or higher required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as needed.
• Valid driver’s license may be required to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance across buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Operates custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, buffers and scrubbers.
• Cleans floors, lifts, moves furniture, and assists in snow removal.
