Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum ninth grade education required.
• One year of experience in a custodial, mechanical trade or related area, preferred.
• Physically able to perform the essential functions, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
• Individuals may be required to hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Selects appropriate equipment and sweeps and cleans floors in shops, classrooms, offices, corridors and other areas assigned.
• Uses custodial equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, buffers and other supplies.
• Collects and disposes of trash and garbage.
• Unloads supplies and positions on shelves or storage racks.
• Moves furniture and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maintains cleanliness of lavatories and wash basins.
• Cleans windows, light fixtures, and other items that may require ladders or scaffolding.
• Assists in snow removal and lawn/playground maintenance.
• Responds to emergencies and performs other duties as assigned.
