Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform routine cleaning of school buildings and grounds after school hours. The role includes cleaning cafeterias, classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas, moving furniture, and preparing spaces for events.

You will receive training on cleaning tools and safety. Requirements include GED or some high school, with high school diploma preferred and custodial experience encouraged; lifting up to 50 pounds; schedule 3 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; custodial experience encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Clean the cafeteria after lunch, mop cafeteria, and realign tables and chairs.
• Pick up paper and trash in bathrooms, halls, and around school grounds; clean spills.
• Dump trash in classrooms, clean chalkboards, dust rooms, and reset for next day.
• Set up for PTA, events, and meetings in cafeteria, auditorium, and library.
• Secure and lock all classrooms and outside doors at end of the day.
